The Peak Lookout is located on the landmark of the Peak, with an open terrace overlooking Aberdeen. The restaurant retains the History of the 19th Century, when the city was not so affluent, with nostalgic interior design and a wonderful collection of old photographs.
Back then the major means of transport by residents of the peak was by sedan chair. Groups of sedan chair carriers gathered at the site of the Peak Lookout as a resting shelter, it was later transformed into a permanent shelter.
The site commenced its catering history in 1947, when a restaurant called the Peak Café was established. For over fifty years the Peak Café catered to local residents and visitors, leaving them with many pleasant memories.
In 2001, the site was renovated and the Peak Lookout emerged. It carries with it a proud heritage with an elegant and intimate dining environment and traditional settings.
